Riding Lessons
Lesson Offerings
Length: 45 minutes
Cost: $220.00
This package offers four or five lessons monthly, depending on whether the lesson days per month. Lessons are typically offered in a group setting. Lessons may occasionally entail in-barn, unmounted lessons at the coach’s discretion.
4-Lesson Package
Length: 45 minutes
Cost: $400.00
This package offers two lessons weekly. Lessons are typically offered in a group setting.
Multi-Lesson Package
Length: 30 minutes
Cost: $65.00
This option is ideal for riders who would like to do a trial lesson or only like to ride occasionally. Requests will be accommodated based on schedule availability.
One-Time Lesson
One lesson per month will be dedicated to an in-barn lessons. In-barn lessons will include: tacking up and untacking; grooming; bathing; braiding; leading; application of boots; general horse anatomy as it pertains to jumping and flatting; tack/equipment parts and their biomechanics; groundwork, including lunging and training; and basic first aid, amongst other topics.
In-Barn Lessons
Payment is due in full before the first lesson of the month to secure your booking.
Payment methods include:
Credit card: To pay by credit card, please add your credit card details to your Jane App profile.
E-transfer: To pay by e-transfer, please send the amount due to info@lodestarcanada.com and note the student’s first and last name.
Lessons will be discontinued if payment is not received.
Payment Procedure
Lessons are non-refundable and non-transferable. Make-up lessons are offered during the last week of the month. Please note that make-up lesson slots may be at a time of the week different from your regular lesson. Cancellations require 24-hours’ notice, as the coach, arena, and coach are reserved for you. Students may request a maximum of one make-up lesson per month, and make-up lessons must be fulfilled in the month that the original lesson was missed. Please let us know if you cannot make a lesson as soon as possible.
We reserve the right to postpone/reschedule:
If no coach is available (we have substitute coaches and will first try to find a substitute)
In the event of extreme weather or an emergency that may pose a risk to a human or horse
Students who plan to miss two or more lessons in a given month (e.g. for travel, vacation, etc.) will be billed at the one-time lesson rate for any lessons scheduled in that month. This will secure their lesson spot for the following month.
Cancellation Policy
For the safety of our students, we require all students to wear appropriate attire. All riders must wear shoes with a heel, long pants, and correctly fitted horse riding helmets when riding. Children are required to wear helmets when handling or near the horses. Additionally, everyone who is on-site is required to wear closed-toe shoes.
